At Earth First Farms, we grow more than a dozen varieties of certified organic apples.
From the Paula Reds in early August to the late-season crispness of the Winesap, we have something for every apple lover.
Where to find our apples:
- We have a tree lease program that allows you to rent an apple tree of your choice. When you rent a tree, you get all the apples that tree produces that year. You can harvest the apples yourself, or we can pick them for you and deliver them to one of four Chicago drop-off locations.
- Members of our Apple CSA taste their way through the season with apple an apple share pick-up every two weeks. The apples start mid-August and don't stop until almost Thanksgiving!
- Earth First Farms is open for "U-Pick" every weekend from late August until the end of October. Hours are Friday through Sunday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Call to see which varieties are ready for picking - (269) 461-3151.
- Our apples and cider are available for sale at farmers' markets and grocery stores throughout the Chicagoland area. We are regulars at the Edgewater, Logan Square, and Green City Markets from August to October, and we continue selling at the indoor markets at Green City and Logan Square into the winter.
