When you rent a tree at Earth First Farms, you get all produce from that tree for a year.

We usually expect to harvest two or three bushels (80 to 120 pounds) of apples from each of our trees each season. Yield varies with the variety, the year, and the weather.

To rent a certified organic apple tree for the 2011 harvest, use the form below. Trees are listed in chronological order by ripening date. If you would rather send a check, please mail it to us at 8335 Smith Road, Berrien Center, MI 49102.

Notes/Comments:

Notes: Ida Red trees are currently sold out for the 2011 season. Winesap trees are no longer available because the trees are old and unreliable. McIntosh trees are no longer available because all our Macs were on our neighbor's land, which we have decided to discontinue leasing. If you love Macs, please consider their close relatives Paula Red or Empire

For more information about individual varieties, check out our brochure. Our U-Pick calendar shows previous years' picking dates.

You can pick your own apples from your rented tree, or we can pick them for you and deliver them to Chicago for an extra $10 per tree. Pick-up locations are in Rogers Park or at any one of our four farm markets (Edgewater, Logan Square, Green City, or the Glenwood Sunday Markets.)

The Gunkel family was kind enough to share their blog entry about their 2009 Empire tree lease harvest. Thanks! fallapples1lr_sm.jpg
